2025 Character Animation Practice
Character animation practice using audio from chef/restaurateur/actor/funny man Matty Matheson and re-imagining it to push my skills and test out some new assets tools along the way.
Here’s a progress comparison that shows the different stages of my “Train of Thought” shot.
My secondary focus on this shot was to practice using tools that would let me adjust and enhance the character rig after animation was done to address minor issues and plus some things up. I’m sure the rigger could have fixed the issues, but for my purposes I was happy to keep them as is.
2022 Christmas short
A fun project withJoshua Abate to test ourselves creating our own short. Here’s a breakdown of what was used:
Maya for modelling, texturing, rigging, and animation
Blender for the smoke and snow FX
Photoshop for the background, character, and props (Ryann Evanitsky designed and painted the BG and props)
DaVinci Resolve 19 for compositing and editing
Cell phone for recording all SFX with household objects. Audacity for fine tuning.

TAAFI 2013 Animation Challenge
TAAFI 2013 hosted a challenge between the animation schools of Ontario, each school had a month to finish an animation from concept to final piece. The theme for the animations was "caught in the act". This is Cambrian College's contribution, it was entirely hand drawn on paper and then colored digitally.
